Fabian De La Espriella is an urban designer & transportation planning manager with the Miami Downtown Development Authority. Fabian has a Masters degree in City Planning from the University of Florida and a professional degree in Architecture from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia. Fabian has over twelve years of experience focusing on integrated land use-transportation, corridor redevelopment and area plans, and infill redevelopment. Throughout his career Fabian has taken a lead role in urban design and livable transportation projects that create community supported, context sensitive design solutions for redeveloping suburban and urban environments. One of his key interests is leveraging street design, traffic calming, and redevelopment projects to contribute to placemaking. His work has been featured in the New York Times and has had the opportunity to collaborate on significant projects in Florida (Miami, Orlando, Sanford, North Miami Beach, Martin County) as well as across the country (Alexandria, VA; Solana Beach, CA; Portland, OR; Albuquerque, NM; Detroit, MI; Trenton, NJ; South Pasadena, CA; Richmond, VA; Savannah, GA; Sulphur Springs, TX; Brookhaven, NY).
