Mark Lesniak is co-founder of Urban Implementation LLC, a design / build consulting firm based in Downtown Miami. He is an attorney admitted to practice in New York and Florida Authorized House Counsel for the Miami College of Design. Mark’s practice areas include commercial transactions, corporate formations, intellectual property and federally regulated media. Mark is also an expert on the temporary use of vacant, abandoned and dilapidated properties. He has realized over $1 million worth of economic development projects in the City of Miami since 2010, with an estimated overall economic impact to the area of upwards of $12 million. Urban Implementation is responsible for Omni Park, Grand Central Park, Downtown Skate Spot, GC Express, Weed Bombing and over 120,000 s/f of mural installations. Mark’s projects has been featured on NPR, the Miami Herald, and in the Tactical Urbanist Handbook.
Mark holds a high school diploma from the Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment.
He received his BA from the University of Iowa which he obtained in 3 years. As an undergraduate he was selected from a nationwide pool of thousands of applicants to participate in a graduate level ten person summer workshop with James Alan McPherson at the University of Iowa Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing.
In 2008 he was awarded a Juris Doctor from New York Law School, where he graduated cum laude and with special honors for his work on media, law and policy issues affecting practitioners. At New York Law School he served as Executive Editor of Media Law and Policy, a practice focused law journal where he was instrumental in increasing readership and organized two panels on, respectively, the NSA Wiretapping Program and the 700MHz Spectrum Auction.
